The UniCrimp 222 is a crimping station designed for high speed production on CrimpCenter series machines. The station includes electronic crimp height control, integrated crimp force monitoring with the Schleuniger CFM 20 as well as a height adjustable base frame. It accepts most side- or rear-feed mini-style crimping applicators with either mechanical or pneumatic feed. The speed and precision of the UniCrimp 222 makes it perfectly suited for fully automatic processing of wires up to 6 mm2 (10 AWG). The press can be changed between 40 mm (1.58”) and 30 mm (1.18”) stroke for increased application range. The press allows for a wide range of shut heights from the standard applicators requiring 135.78 mm (5.35") to applicators requiring a taller shut height of 190.00 mm (7.47"). Furthermore, integrated LED lighting illuminates the work space for improved visibility.

Maximize Your Productivity
For short applicator changeover times, the UniCrimp 222 features a quick-change applicator clamping plate. Any deviations in crimp height can be quickly adjusted through the CrimpCenter machine interface with the electronic crimp height control capability, thereby reducing set-up time and increasing run time. To further minimize machine downtime of your CrimpCenter we recommend the use of our ToolingShuttle System (TSS). With the ToolingShuttle 30 or the ToolingShuttle 61, the applicator, terminal reel and paper winder can be prepared for production offline while the CrimpCenter is running. The applicator and terminal reel are mounted on the ToolingShuttle and exchanged simultaneously thereby minimizing machine downtime significantly when frequently changing applicators.
