6 Million Runs at Gruber Communications and Still Going Strong

Gruber Communications has been providing custom cable manufacturing since 1984. The company specializes in manufacturing cable products, primarily for use in data centers. Because of Gruber Communications’ dedication to quality, it is important that these cables remain free of any nicks and blemishes during processing, particularly in the cutting and stripping stages. The company used a pneumatic wire stripping machine for nearly a decade, but grew tired of the maintenance on the pneumatic check valves and cylinders. Then, Pete Gruber, current CEO of Gruber Communications, who at the time was working as chief cook and bottle washer, heard about the reputation for superior design and quality of Swiss-made Schleuniger machines and he expected these machines would help reduce his workload.

In 1998, Gruber Communications bought its first Schleuniger product, the all-electric\n EcoStrip 9300 is still in operation today and continues to precisely cut and strip wires after over 6 million runs!

The company has since purchased other pieces of Schleuniger equipment. “The overall reliability, technical support, and infrequent need for parts make the Schleuniger products the most reliable production equipment we have,” says Pete Gruber.
