Processing Station for CrimpCenter Series
The MSS microflame soldering station is ideal for post-crimp soldering of terminated wires of 0.22 – 6 mm² (23 AWG – 10 AWG). It is also suitable for regular tinning of stripped wire ends on fully automatic crimping machines of the CrimpCenter series. This application is most often used for mission-critical crimping applications to increase mechanical pull strength and resistance to corrosion.

Consistent & Safe Processing
The station utilizes the patented Spirig Spirflame™ soldering technology. The station generator produces hydrogen gas from distilled water. The process is completely environmentally safe with the only by-product being water vapor. A constant flame temperature ensures consistent results and the heat is highly focused thereby exposing the surrounding materials to minimum heat. In the event of a machine error, the hydrogen supply to the system is automatically shut down for safety.
The system uses space saving rolled solder wire which simplifies the switching between leaded or lead-free applications. The MSS Microflame Soldering Station also features short cycle times and short change-over times. Optional items include sensors for pressure, flame presence and water level as well as an automatic ignition system.

Soldering processing parameters can be stored in the station’s control unit and programmed with a handheld device. Processing parameters can easily be retrieved on demand. Wire positioning and wait times are programmed via touch screen in the CrimpCenter machine’s operating software, EASY.
