Semi-Automatic Crimping of Flat Cables
The machines of the HFC series are designed for precision crimping of Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC), Flexible Laminated Cable (FLC) or Extruded Flexible Cable (exFC). Depending on version, the HFC crimping machines handle maximum widths up to 80 mm (3.15''), 200 mm (7.87''), 610 mm (24.02''), or even 1'500 mm (59.06'').
Optically Controlled Positioning
First the flat cable sheets are positioned and the coordinates for crimping are determined by a high-precision camera. Subsequently, the terminals are crimped on the conductors with a special FLC flat cable crimp applicator. The unique design of this applicator guarantees highest precision with upper and lower punch driven separately.
The HFC series flat cable crimping machines process all common flat conductor terminals. Integrated crimp force monitoring is also available upon request.
