Flexible Cable Processing Automation
The Schleuniger TransferModule 6000 was developed for efficient automation of coaxial, sensor, ABS, FFC and POF and other single and multiconductor cable types. With its standardized modularity and great flexibility, the TransferModule 6000 closes the gap between existing semi-automatic cable processing machines and capital intensive, fully automated production systems.
The central element of theTransferModule 6000 is the diverse assembly possibilities of machining processes which can be adjusted according to individual needs. The module consists of the cable feed station, cable transport (chain transfer), cable unloading and the several processing stations. As processing stations the existing standard units or customer specific units can be applied. These can be equipped to form a partial or full automated transfer system. As standard, the following machining processes can be integrated: All Schleuniger units used for cable ends, seal mounting, fluxing / tin-plating, twisting, feeding of loose connectors and connector casings, testing / verifying, imprinting (laser / ink jet), coiling / binding. Further machining processes can be made available on request. Thanks to the broad application possibilities of the Schleuniger units a high reliability percentage is guaranteed.
The entire system is very compact, using a minimal amount of production area and can be expanded when necessary with additional modules. Despite its compact design, each process station is visible and easily accessible. Cables of maximum 8 mm outer diameter, cross-sections up to 25 mm² and solid conductors up to 6 mm² can be processed. The conductor lengths which can be processed range from 140 mm up to 5 m without coiling / binding station and over 5 m with coiling / binding station.
The TransferModule 6000 operation can take place at the machine or off-line using a PC. An SPS control coordinates the function process and ensures a constant, reproducible quality. Each process unit is fitted with its own control.
Highest Productivity at Maximum Precision
Parallel processing allows greater productivity and maximum precision. The chain transfer conveys the cable gently from processing station to processing station. Depending on the processing requirements, the chain transfer may be fitted with different transfer shuttles. The transfer shuttles are available in 1, 2 or 3 axes of movement.

The TransferModule 6000 design allows processing of coaxial, sensor, airbag, ABS, FFC, and POF cables, as well as multiconductor cable types. The application possibilities of the TransferModule 6000 are almost unlimited.
