Automobile Industry Gains Importance

With the recently established Schleuniger Automation GmbH (formerly known as Grote & Hartmann Engineering), Schleuniger has been able to improve its position in the automobile and consumer goods industry. The 90 employees of the new company in the German town of Remscheid, develop, produce and distribute fully automated cable processing machines for these important served markets. Schleuniger Automation specializes in Crimp/Seal machines and has at its disposal modern, flexible and extremely high-output machinery. In addition, they offer machines for the efficient insulation displacement process (IDC Technology) and are able to process a wide range of connector types. Semi- and fully automatic machines for processing FFC-Flat band cable, as well as a range of wire processing tools round off the product line.

Schleuniger’s sales with this new company will increase more than one third to approximately 90 million Swiss Francs. The combination of new products with the existing global distribution and service network makes Schleuniger one of the leading machine manufacturers in the cable processing market.
