The new Crimping Applicators Uni-A FA & Uni-A MB

The Uni-A family of crimp applicators utilize state-of-the-art design and are made for use in both automatic and semi-automatic crimping machines. In addition to the proven side and rear feed models (available in mechanical or pneumatic feed), two new versions are available: The Uni-A FA and the Uni-A MB.

The Uni-A FA is a pneumatic, side feed applicator for processing all standard, banded ferrules (closed barrel type terminals) for a wire range from 20 to 14 AWG (0.5 mm² to 2.5 mm²). With its interchangeable tooling and a graduated feed setting block, changeovers to another wire range are fast and simple. To aid in wire targeting, wire funnels are integrated into the tooling sets. When utilized with a split cycle crimping process, the wire funnels provide a larger target area for the operator. Easier targeting results in higher productivity.

The Uni-A MB is a pneumatic, side feed applicator designed for processing most standard Mylar-banded terminals. Interchangeable tooling sets can be ordered so that one applicator can accommodate a variety of terminals. Furthermore, loading the tape strip is simple with the special drum feeding system. Finally, the Uni-A MB includes flow control valves that allow the user to adjust the speed of the terminal feed. Terminal feeding is more accurate and consistent, resulting in more efficient production.

Both applicators have all of the desired features of the Uni-A series, like high precision, continuous height adjustment and the mechanical ejector design. All settings such as crimp height, insulation height or clearing the terminal are also handled the same as with all standard Uni-A applicators.

Uni-A MB with pneumatic drum feed (side feed applicator) • for all standard Mylar-banded terminals with closed barrel construction • easy changeover to a different terminal type
