The UniCrimp Family Receives “New Blood”
The need to cut, strip and crimp large nominal cross sections is constantly growing. The Schleuniger crimping product line has therefore been expanded with the powerful UniCrimp 500, UniCrimp 1100 and UniCrimp 2500 crimping machines.
3 New Machines for Large Nominal Cross Sections
With an application spectrum of up to 50 mm² (AWG 0) and a press capacity of up to 25 tons, Schleuniger offers new possibilities in the semi-automatic processing of closed barrel and banded terminals as well as a variety of loose-piece terminals. All models are available with crimp force monitoring and feature identical user-friendly operating panels for simple operation. Schleuniger recommends to have your wire samples processed to your specifications by the Schleuniger wire sample processing service in order to assure a smooth application.

UniCrimp 200 - up to 6 mm² (AWG 10)
With 3.4 tons (33 kN) press force, this crimping machine is the most powerful in its class and is able to process nominal cross sections up to 6 mm² (AWG 10) without any problems. Cycle speed control and split cycle capability are standard with this machine. Also available as a stripper-crimper StripCrimp 200.

UniCrimp 500 - up to 25 mm² (AWG 3)
With a press capacity of 5 tons, the UniCrimp 500 is capable of processing nominal cross sections of up to 25 mm² (AWG 3). Also available with crimp force monitoring, this crimping machine is available as bench-top version or crimping station for fully automatic crimping machines. As with all UniCrimp machines, short change-over times are guaranteed by a quick-change system for crimp applicators. |

UniCrimp 1100 - up to 35 mm² (AWG 2)
With 11 metric tons of crimping force, both side- and rear-feed banded terminals, as well as loose-piece terminals up to 35 mm² (AWG 2) can be processed. A two-handed trigger mechanism without safety shield (in full compliance with CE conformity regulations) is also available for easy positioning and processing of loose-piece terminals. |

UniCrimp 2500 - up to 50 mm² (AWG 0)
With 25 tons of crimping force, this is the strongest crimping machine of the UniCrimp series. Ideal for special applications like hexagonal crimping of complex loose-piece terminals with a nominal cross section of up to 50 mm² (AWG 0) . |
Proven Combined Crank-/Knee Lever Drive
This proven drive concept, with its combined crank-/knee lever drive, enables fast closing of the crimping tool (= shorter cycling times) and at the same time an optimal forming process with a slow closing speed during the actual crimping process.
Extended Applicator Range
To enable the complete processing of different terminals, even with large nominal cross sections, Schleuniger has extended the range of crimp applicators accordingly. Next to the UNI-A universal crimp applicators and the FlexoCrimper, Schleuniger now also offers special crimp applicators for loose-piece terminals.

UNI-A - up to 6 mm² (AWG 10)
The Uni-A features a uni-body construction and is the lightest (2.8 kg / 6.2 lbs.) and most flexible standard crimp applicator in its class. Available in different versions, the UNI-A comes as both rear- or side-feed applicator either with mechanical or pneumatic transport. Additional models for processing conductor sleeves in banded form (closed barrel terminals) and Mylar-band banded terminals have recently been introduced to the market. The UNI-A features a high precision transport for accurate and reliable positioning of terminals, while it’s compact yet sturdy constructions allows for use in both bench-top crimping machines as well as fully automatic crimping machines.
Applications
UNI-A crimping tools are suited for a wide range of banded terminal types: transversal (= side-feed), double-banded (= side-feed) and lengthwise banded (= rear-feed) terminals.

FlexoCrimper - up to 6 mm² (AWG 10)
The FlexoCrimper with its quick-change cassette system for reduction of change-over times and investment volumes, has been specifically designed for the automotive industry. Available in side-feed configuration only, this extremely reliable applicator features an exceptionally accurate transport mechanism (with Maltese Principle). The unique design guarantees highest positioning accuracy and reliability even at extremely high press cycle speeds in fully automatic production.

As there is no industry standard for crimping nominal cross sections larger than 6 mm² (AWG 10), Schleuniger offers adapters for all models of the UniCrimp series to provide for production with crimp applicators of other manufactures as well.
