Quality Assurance
The SLP 2000 provides for high quality results at high speed. Crimp forces are measured for every single crimp and compared to the set reference values. Results are graphically displayed and the Cpk index (capability index) of the production run is calculated. Crimps outside the set tolerances are automatically cut off during production.
Crimp force analysis with EASY software
In combination with CHM crimp height measuring device, the CrimpCenter machine software EASY automatically compares measured crimp heights to the set reference value. If equipped with a SLP 2000 CP, the crimp height is automatically adjusted in case of variances.
Additional features include:
- precision electric crimp height adjustment in 0.01 mm increments
- split cycle functionality for processing closed barrel terminals (optional)
- selection of 7 different processing speeds (including slow motion for setup)
- crimp carrier strip cutter (optional)
Different Standard Crimp Applicators
All SLP 2000 models optionally feature a 30 mm press stroke instead of the standard 40 mm stroke. Different shut heights and various adapters for non-universal crimp applicators are also available optionally.
Twisting Wire End Strands
The SLP 2000 C, SLP 2000 CP or SLP 2000 CM can be turned into a twisting station. The STW 1000 for twisting conductor end strands mounts directly in the press. Equipped with a quick-lock system, change-overs from crimping to twisting are easily done.
