Fiber Position Measuring Device

The PosiTest 15 measures the distance from a Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) end inside the ferrule to the end of the ferrule. This "recessed" fiber position is often required in order to prevent fiber ends from getting scratched during handling or mating.

The PosiTest 15 is calibrated once using a calibration pin. The operator simply inserts the end of a POF cable into the device and the measured value immediately shows on the display.

There are two versions available:

PosiTest 15

Standard version
stand-alone measuring without data storage or networking capability

PosiTest 15 with data storage Networking version
stand-alone measuring with data storage and networking capability

With the networking version, all measured data can be visualized and stored in a special version of WinCrimp PC software. Other measuring devices such as OptiTest 10 or PullTester 25 can also be integrated.

Highest Accuracy

The digital micrometer of the PosiTest 15 measures with an accuracy of 0.001 mm (0.0004''). Constant spring-driven contact pressure eliminates operator variances.
